Meet Our Artists
Landis Blair
I am a pen & ink illustrator from the Chicago area.
Classic literature has always played a major role in my life. I am always amazed at just how much these stories reveal about the mysteries of human behavior. While reading them is greatly enjoyable, I find the classics to be some of the best teachers for how to live.
Some of my favorite books are: Crime and Punishment, The Death of Ivan Ilych, and A Christmas Carol.

Paul Breen
I'm an Irish Graphic Designer based in Dublin
I’ve been working as a designer for the past 10 years. I love what I do. I was blessed to realize early in life what I wanted to work at. I believe to create something special, you truly have to love what you do and give your whole heart to it.
I’ve been asked to choose my favorite book. I would have to say George Orwell’s 1984. Together with Animal Farm they are true works of art.

Benjy Brooke
I'm a freelance animator & illustrator working at King Drippa in Brooklyn.
Much of my artistic inspiration comes from the books I read. If I can match the impact of a single sentence in a great book, I can leave a drawing with satisfaction. Those moments are few and far between, but they're the coals that stoke the fire. Making Litographs is the perfect homage to that process.
Some of my favorite books are sprawling novels like Anna Karenina and Infinite Jest.
Rob Chandler
I'm a freelance artist based in the Southeastern US.
When I find myself in the middle of a great story, the graphic designer inside me latches on to iconic objects that represent the full power of the situation. I envision the ordinary sights and sounds shared by characters that might have profound meaning to people in normal circumstances. Epics present a perfect opportunity to do that.
One of my favorite books is Ishmael, by Daniel Quinn.

Joseph Chiang
I am a printmaker from Singapore.
Reading is as much a part of my life as making art. I like to take a book and strip it down to the its bare minimum and see what remains graphically.
One of my favorite books is Raymond Queneau’s Exercises In Style. It is a collection of ninety-nine retellings of the same story, each in a different style. This book has been a great inspiration for me because it shows the almost unlimited possibilities of doing a simple thing over and over.

M.S. Corley
I'm a freelance artist from the Pacific Northwest who designs book covers and draws comics for a living.
Reading is my favorite thing when I'm not drawing, so of course creating book covers is a big passion of mine. My Litographs covers are adaptations of some of my favorite book covers.
My favorite books are anything by Haruki Murakami, Daniel Handler or any ghost story anthology. I prefer books that are supernatural or whimsical with a hint of sadness.
Designs: This Side of Paradise and more coming soon.
Mads Hindhede
I am an industrial designer & graphic artist, currently working as Creative Mastermind at Forma Studio.
What I like about books is that I can disappear into complete different universes - and be inspired by crazy ideas or feelings. I use this inspiration to create graphic art that might be a bit different than what you would expect.
My favorite book is... forget it - I have a ton favorite books! From Harry Potter to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Isaac Asimov to J.R.R. Tolkien.

Stephen Kelly
I’m an illustrator originally from Scotland, now based in Bristol, UK.
My work is influenced by all kinds of pop culture, and a big part of that comes from what I read. I love a book that makes me think, “Ok...how do you visualise this.” It’s great trying to break something complex like a novel down into just a few graphic building blocks.
I’ll read almost anything, but American writers like Kurt Vonnegut, James Baldwin and Cormac McCarthy stand out.
Designs: The Time Machine (July 17), The Jungle Book (July 19), and more coming soon.
McKenna Kemp
I’m a designer/maker in Brooklyn, NY, via the sweet south (Kentucky and South Carolina).
The inspiration behind these illustrations was through a deep connection with Virginia Woolf's books. There’s such empathy that threads through her work.
My favorite book would have to be An American Childhood by Annie Dillard. Like Woolf, she writes in this wonderful, cartwheeling way that feels so full of life.

Joseph Lovelock
I am a designer and illustrator based in Lincoln, UK. I take inspiration from many different sources including Soviet graphic design, Dadaism and 1950s science experiments.
Brave New World's artificially manufactured humans reminded me of the sets of identical model soldiers I used to make as a child, so I decided to show a set of them on a sprue ready to be manufactured.
My favorite book is All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy.

She has since moved to Amsterdam and launched a successful career as an illustrator, working on books for children of all ages.
Some of Rachelle's favorite novels include The Razor's Edge, Anna Karenina, and Last Exit to Brooklyn.

Ricky Richards
I am a 21 year old designer from the UK.
I started doing freelance work at 16. What I love best about design is that each project gives me some knowledge in an area I would otherwise have had no idea about.
My favorite book is Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. I read it at 18, and found it extremely motivational. I have since referred to it when I have had a lack of motivation, to remind me why I continue to work so hard.
Designs: Coming soon.
Sarah Shrapnel
I am a graphic designer from Sydney, Australia.
My designs were inspired by the nostalgia of favorite childhood books. To create my works I contrasted bold silhouette graphics against delicate vintage wallpaper patterns.
These books all hold a special place in my heart but by favourite book has to be Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami - a beautifully haunting and heart breaking book yet funny and quirky too.
Designs: Emma, The Secret Garden, and more coming soon.
Lewis Spearman
I’m a UI/UX designer for a tech start-up in Cambridge, UK.
Creating illustrations and drawings in my spare time has always been a great passion of mine. I enjoy producing Litographs based on children’s books and stories, many of these I read to my son.

Rowan Stocks-Moore
I'm a graphic designer from Liverpool, U.K.
As a designer I like to create quirks and visual trickery to engage the viewer and feed their imagination. I also like to create minimalistic designs that still manage to convey the core themes of the book or film they portray.
My favourite book though is 'In Cold Blood' by Truman Capote. I am greatly interested in non-fiction novels, especially those written by authors more accustomed to writing fiction.
Designs: Gulliver's Travels

Alice Titshall
I'm a 20 year old art student at university in Bristol, UK.
My inspiration for this design came from french art deco geometric patterns and an obsession with tessellating shapes. I am also interested in the art of incorporating text into work in a subtle way.
One of my favourite books is Joe Dunthorne's "Submarine", an endearing tale of one young boy's attempt to save his parents' marriage and win his pyromaniac girlfriend's heart.
