“And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
“It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.”
“One is loved because one is loved. No reason is needed for loving.”
“So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.”
“There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.”
“The secret of life, though, is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.”
“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
“Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.”
“The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them.”
“Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure.”
The Print
Every Litograph design emerges from the text of a book. Both these 24 x 36 inch and 18 x 24 inch prints include the full text of The Alchemist.
Click on a box in the first or second image above to zoom in and see how it works.
Litographs are printed on professional quality bond paper that is crisp, clear, and long-lasting. Our prints are unframed, but offered in standard sizes for framing. Our quoted dimensions include a 0.75 inch border on each side.
The Mission
How is it that 40% of all books printed are eventually destroyed by publishers, while developing nations face a book famine? As with so many other resources, the challenge is not one of scarcity but of allocation.
Litographs works with independent booksellers and the International Book Bank to attack the issue from both sides. By "upcycling" excess books into artwork, purchasing a Litograph supports independent booksellers and ensures that classic books do not go to waste.
And our partnership with the International Book Bank sends one book to a community in need for each print we sell. Click here to learn more about how it works.
