Artists

Landis Blair

I am a pen & ink illustrator from the Chicago area.

Classic literature has always played a major role in my life. I am always amazed at just how much these stories reveal about the mysteries of human behavior. While reading them is greatly enjoyable, I find the classics to be some of the best teachers for how to live.

Some of my favorite books are: Crime and Punishment, The Death of Ivan Ilyich, and A Christmas Carol.

Landis's Litographs designs include Uncle Tom's Cabin.

Paul Breen

I'm an Irish Graphic Designer based in Dublin.

I've been working as a designer for the past 10 years. I love what I do. I was blessed to realize early in life what I wanted to work at. I believe to create something special, you truly have to love what you do and give your whole heart to it.

I've been asked to choose my favorite book. I would have to say George Orwell's 1984. Together with Animal Farm they are true works of art.

Paul's Litographs designs include The Canterbury Tales, Crime and Punishment, Dubliners, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and The Poetical Works of William Wordsworth.

Benjy Brooke

I'm a freelance animator & illustrator working at King Drippa in Brooklyn.

Much of my artistic inspiration comes from the books I read. If I can match the impact of a single sentence in a great book, I can leave a drawing with satisfaction. Those moments are few and far between, but they're the coals that stoke the fire. Making Litographs is the perfect homage to that process.

Some of my favorite books are sprawling novels like Anna Karenina and Infinite Jest.

Benjy's Litographs designs include Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, On the Origin of Species, The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci, White Fang, The Island of Dr. Moreau, The Kama Sutra, and Peter Pan.

Rob Chandler

I'm a freelance artist based in the Southeastern US.

When I find myself in the middle of a great story, the graphic designer inside me latches on to iconic objects that represent the full power of the situation. I envision the ordinary sights and sounds shared by characters that might have profound meaning to people in normal circumstances. Epics present a perfect opportunity to do that.

My favorite book is Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown.

Rob's Litographs designs include The Aeneid, The Iliad, and The Odyssey.

Jessica Cooper

I'm Jessica and I'm a freelance illustrator and designer. I love my job! Generally I am to be found drinking coffee in my pyjamas whilst planning world domination through vector art. I am inspired by travel, science fact and fiction, and cheap wine.

My favourite books of all time are The Gormenghast Trilogy by Mervyn Peake, The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham, and The Dark Tower series by Stephen King.

Jessica's Litographs designs include Tess of the D'Urbervilles.

M.S. Corley

I'm a freelance artist from the Pacific Northwest who designs book covers and draws comics for a living.

Reading is my favorite thing when I'm not drawing, so of course creating book covers is a big passion of mine. My Litographs covers are adaptations of some of my favorite book covers.

My favorite books are anything by Haruki Murakami, Daniel Handler, or any ghost story anthology. I prefer books that are supernatural or whimsical with a hint of sadness.

M.S.'s Litographs designs include Frankenstein and This Side of Paradise.

Anthony Feinman

I am a Cartoonist, Photographer, Graphic Designer based in Central Illinois.

Literature, mostly science fiction, has been a huge inspiration for me and continues to drive my need to keep on reading.

I love books as my many bookshelves, faltering under the weight of dozens upon dozens of volumes, can attest to. Two of my favorite books are The Phantom of the Opera and The Time Machine.

Anthony's Litographs designs include The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

Mark Forton

I am a contemporary mixed media artist/designer based in the United States with the moniker mafMOVE (MAF and MAFmovement©). My art is described as a "collage of abstract forms and modern POP interlocked in a digitized dreamscape." My art/design work has been seen in publications and galleries globally.

My graphic design and art is heavily influenced by Andy Warhol, Peter Saville, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Vitold Kobisz, James MaloneBeach, David Stairs, Milton Glaser and Stephen Sprouse.

Some of my favorite books are Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X with Alex Haley, Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, and The Tao of Wu by RZA.

Mark's Litographs designs include Heart of Darkness.

Sira García Trigueros

Hi! I'm an illustrator and graphic designer from the Basque Country. I'm the twin of my sister, Ruth, with whom I usually work.

As a kid, I read Miguel Delibes's "El Camino" and it made a deep impression on me. I enjoy reading as a source of both entertainment and inspiration. I guess one could say books are like very detailed illustrations made with words.

The last novel I read was "Post Office" by Bukowski, one of my favorite authors nowadays.

Ruth García Trigueros

Hi! I'm an illustrator and graphic designer from the Basque Country. I'm the twin of my sister, Sira, with whom I usually work.

Our illustrations are often born from the music we listen to and the books we read.

One of the first books I fell in love with was Michael Ende's "Momo" and I’ve come across many a good read ever since. Recently, I have a crush on "Cien Años de Soledad," by Gabriel García Marquez.
